Sold in auction / yesterday!
It wasn't the highest sold alpacamale (1.250.000 $) - see photo, but certainly very expensive and superior.
Had at 5th shearing a micron of 16.6 with an SD of 3.5 !!!

We also had winners in the Futurity
Well, suprised as Marieke was....
She was looking at the fleeces at the Futurityshow and saw our own animals (just the fleeces) in the competition. Also Eboli (see former article on this blog) won a price. Never saw her, never saw her fleece. We bought her a year ago... So Marieke brought a little bit of all the fleeces for me to Holland. Not disappointing. But she is grey and not black!!!

BMI Baby
Marieke flew today with BMI Baby to Birmingham. Well, she booked online and printed a boarding ticket (just like we just to do with Easyjet and Flybee. She put initials on her boarding ticket and not her full surname! She was punished and had to pay a ticket of 175 euro each???
There was just a new law in England (UK), that they had to pay an extra fee / ticket for this. Well the original booking was less amount than the ticket...
Is this some fraud of BMI Baby. I guess it is. Never heard of it. So if anybody can explain: please do...
Further more a weighted the litte cria who's mother died of a nefrotoxic syndrom. She almost is 18 kg (in 8 weeks). So she doing fine on lambmilk....
That is a relieve.

Futurity show UK

This morning about seven o'clock, Marieke left for the Futurity show in the UK. She has taken a friend with her. It's a great show. We went their last year and were exposed to a lot of super alpacas. That's when the (alpaca) virus really get us in a grip...Hope they will have a great time...
